  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jalapeno, seeded and chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 (15-ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (15-ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  1. Heat a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the ground turkey, onion, garlic, and jalapeno and cook until the turkey is browned and the vegetables are softened, about 8 minutes.
  2. Add the bell pepper, black beans, kidney beans, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, red pepper flakes, cayenne pepper, and salt to the pot and stir to combine. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.
