Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (15 oz) can hominy, drained and rinsed
  • 2 (15 oz) cans diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 (4 oz) can diced green chiles
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Directions

  1. Add the ground turkey, onion, and garlic to a large slow cooker.
  2. Add the hominy, diced tomatoes, chicken broth, green chiles, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  4. Stir in the cilantro and serve.
