Ingredients
- 3 cups thinly sliced carrots
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 2 quart baking dish.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk, stirring constantly, and cook until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in salt and pepper.
- Place carrots in the prepared baking dish. Pour milk mixture over the carrots and stir to combine.
- Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until carrots are tender.
