Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground sausage
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 (2-pound) package frozen shredded hash brown potatoes, thawed
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook sausage and onion until sausage is browned and onion is translucent.
  3. In a large bowl, combine sausage mixture, cheese, potatoes, cream, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  4. Pour mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until top is golden brown and casserole is bubbly.
