- 2 tubes (8 ounces each ) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, feta cheese, olive oil, dried oregano, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Mix well.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into individual triangles.
- Arrange the triangles on a baking sheet in the shape of a Christmas tree, with the wide ends overlapping slightly to form the base of the tree and the pointed ends pointing upwards.
- Spread the sausage and feta mixture evenly over the dough triangles, leaving a small border along the edges.
- Starting at the base of the tree, roll up each triangle towards the pointed end, enclosing the sausage and feta mixture.
- Brush the beaten egg wash over the top of the tree.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
- Garnish the Christmas tree with chopped fresh parsley to resemble garland.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
