Ingredients

  • 4 cups bread flour

  • 1 1/2 cups warm water

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the bread flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Add the olive oil and warm water. Mix until a dough is formed.
  3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 10 minutes.
  4. Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough rise for about 1 hour.

  7. Using your finger, make a hole in the center of each ball of dough and shape into a bagel.

  9. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and brush the bagels with an egg wash.
  10. Sprinkle the bagels with any desired toppings.
  11. Bake the bagels for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Let cool before enjoying.
