Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  2. Cream the butter and powdered sugar together in a bowl until light and fluffy.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Mix in the flour, walnuts, and salt until just blended.
  5. Roll the dough into 1 inch balls, and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the bottoms are lightly browned.
  7. Remove the cookies from the oven, and roll in the powdered sugar while they are still warm.
