Ingredients

  • 1 cup (227 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (227 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups (180 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup (50 g) sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 g) salt
  • 1/2 cup (170 g) jam or preserves of your choice
  • 1/2 cup (50 g) chopped nuts of your choice

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, cream together the cream cheese and butter until light and fluffy.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt. Add the flour mixture to the cream cheese mixture and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Roll the dough out into a 12-inch (30 cm) circle. Spread the jam or preserves evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch (2.5 cm) border around the edge.
  4. Sprinkle the chopped nuts over the jam.
  5. Cut the dough into 12 wedges and roll each wedge up from the wide end to the point.
  6. Place the cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 350°F (177°C) for 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Let the cookies cool completely before serving.
