Directions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the broccolini and garlic and cook until the broccolini is crisp-tender, about 5 minutes.
Add the red pepper flakes and season with salt and pepper, to taste.
Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet with the broccolini. Toss to combine.
Serve immediately, topped with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
