Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- Add the olive oil and warm water, stirring until the dough comes together.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5 minutes, or until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 375F.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Sprinkle the garlic, rosemary, and cheeses over the dough and press down lightly.
- Cut the dough into strips about 1 inch wide and tie them into knots.
- Place the knots on a greased baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
