Ingredients

  • 3 cups wheat bread flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup chopped almonds
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 egg

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch (23x13 cm) loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the melted butter, cream cheese, and almonds, and mix until combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm water, honey, and egg. Add to the flour mixture, and mix until just combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Remove from oven and let cool before slicing and serving.
