Ingredients

  • 4 cups of French fries (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 cups of fresh cheese curds
  • 1 cup of beef or chicken broth
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Spread the French fries on a baking sheet in an even layer and bake for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Meanwhile, make the gravy. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the flour and whisk until combined. Slowly add the broth, whisking constantly until the mixture thickens. Add the Worcestershire sauce and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Remove the fries from the oven and top with the cheese curds. Pour the gravy over the top and serve immediately.
