Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup raisins

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the baking soda, salt, vanilla, and egg, and mix until combined.
  4. Stir in the flour and raisins until fully incorporated.
  5. Scoop the dough into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
  7. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.
