Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained and rinsed
1 can (4 ounces) mild green chiles

Salt and black pepper, to taste
Directions
In a large pot over medium-high heat, cook ground beef, onion, bell pepper, and garlic until beef is browned, about 5 minutes. Drain fat.
Add diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, green chiles, chili powder, cumin, and oregano. Stir to combine.
Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve hot with shredded cheese and crushed tortilla chips, if desired.
