Ingredients

  • 1 cup of shredded coconut
  • ½ cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup of water

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the shredded coconut, sugar, nutmeg, cardamom, cinnamon and water.
  2. Stir the ingredients together and place the pan over medium heat.
  3. Stir the mixture constantly until it begins to thicken and the sugar has dissolved.
  4. Remove the pan from the heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
  5. Using a spoon, scoop small amounts of the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Let the mixture cool completely before serving.
