Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup cranberry jam
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9 inch square baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder.
- Mix the dry ingredients into the creamed butter and sugar and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Press the dough into the prepared pan. Spread the cranberry jam over the top of the crust.
- Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the top is golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
