Ingredients
2 cups masa harina
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups warm water
2 cups grated Monterey Jack cheese
Directions
In a large bowl, combine masa harina and salt. Slowly add warm water and mix until dough comes together.
Divide dough into 12 equal balls.
Using a rolling pin, roll out each ball of dough into a thin circle.
Place 1/4 cup of grated cheese in the center of each circle.
Fold the circle in half and pinch the edges together to seal.
Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat.
Cook pupusas for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
Serve warm with favorite hot sauces and condiments.
