Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, mix together pumpkin, banana, applesauce and eggs until smooth. Add melted butter or oil, brown sugar and white sugar, and mix until combined.
In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger and salt. Gradually add to the pumpkin mixture and mix until just combined.
Fold in the walnuts, if desired. Spread the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing to cool completely on a wire rack.
