Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup of butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the peanut butter and butter until smooth. Add the sugars, baking soda, baking powder, and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  3. Add the egg and mix until combined.
  4. Add the flour and mix until combined.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Roll the dough into a log and cut into 1 inch slices.
  7. Place the cookie slices onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool on cookie sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
