Ingredients
- 2 9-inch pie crusts
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts, optional
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Roll out 1 pie crust on a floured surface. Cut into 3-inch circles.
- Mix together melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Add nuts, if desired.
- Brush each circle with the butter mixture. Place on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Roll out the other pie crust and cut into strips. Place the strips on top of the circles in a criss-cross pattern.
- Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool before serving.
