Ingredients

  • 1 pound of fresh green beans, trimmed and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup of white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 1 teaspoon of kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black peppercorns
  • 1/2 teaspoon of mustard seeds
  • 2 cloves of garlic, smashed
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh dill, chopped

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring the vinegar, sugar, water, salt, peppercorns, and mustard seeds to a boil.
  2. Add the green beans and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and add the garlic and dill.
  4. Transfer the green beans to a heat-safe container and pour the hot liquid over them.
  5. Let the green beans cool to room temperature before serving.
