Ingredients

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons peppermint extract
  • 1/2 cup vodka
  • 1/4 cup brandy

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the peppermint extract. Allow the mixture to cool.
  3. In a large glass container, combine the cooled syrup and the vodka and brandy. Stir to combine.
  4. Cover the container and store in a cool, dark place for at least 2 weeks, stirring occasionally.
  5. After 2 weeks, strain the mixture into a clean container and discard the solids.
  6. Transfer the liqueur to bottles and store in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months.
