Ingredients

  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1/4 cup vegetable stock
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
  • 1/2 pound smoked salmon, cut into strips
  • 1 pound pasta (linguine, spaghetti, or penne)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package instructions.
  2. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the smoked paprika, black pepper, and white wine and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add the vegetable stock, cream, and dill and bring to a simmer.
  5. Add the smoked salmon and cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet. Toss to combine.
  7. Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt, if needed.
