Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 3 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups pecans, chopped
- 1 9-inch unbaked pastry shell
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, vanilla and salt. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
- Stir in the pecans and pour the mixture into the pastry shell.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the filling is set.
- Cool before serving.
