In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, vanilla and salt. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
Stir in the pecans and pour the mixture into the pastry shell.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the filling is set.
Cool before serving.
