Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups chopped pecans
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease baking sheets.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture.
- Stir in the pecans. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
