Ingredients
- 1/2 cup almond paste
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons matzah meal
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a medium bowl, mix together almond paste, sugar, butter, eggs, and lemon zest.
- Stir in matzah meal and salt, and mix until a dough forms.
- Roll the dough into small balls and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Press the balls slightly and top with slivered almonds.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and let cool before serving.
