Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the pineapple juice, rice vinegar, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, sesame oil, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove the sauce from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.
  4. Store the sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
