Ingredients
1 cup warm water
1 teaspoon sugar
2¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
Directions
Combine warm water, sugar and yeast in a bowl. Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy.
In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add olive oil and mix until combined.
Add yeast mixture and stir until a dough forms.
Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead until it is smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes.
Place dough in an oiled bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Punch down dough and turn onto a floured surface. Roll dough into a 12-inch circle.
Transfer dough to a greased baking sheet. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and rosemary. Cover with a damp towel and let rise for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Let cool before serving.
