Ingredients
- 1 box of chocolate cake mix
- 3 eggs
- 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
- 1/3 cup of water
- 2/3 cup of butter, softened
- 2 cups of powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon of salt
- Assorted candy decorations: M&Ms, mini chocolates, sprinkles, etc.
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and line a cupcake tin with liners.
- In a large bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, oil, and water and mix until fully combined.
- Spoon the batter into the cupcake liners, filling them about halfway full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cupcake comes out clean.
- Let cool completely before frosting.
- In a medium bowl, cream the butter until light and fluffy.
- Add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt, and mix until fully combined.
- Frost the cooled cupcakes and decorate with assorted candy decorations.
