Ingredients
1 lb. beef sirloin steak
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°F.
In a large bowl, combine garlic, olive oil, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Add the steak, and rub the mixture into the steak to coat it.
Place the steak on a baking sheet, and bake in preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until the steak is cooked to your desired doneness.
Remove the steak from the oven, and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Slice the steak into thin strips, and arrange on a plate. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar, and serve.
Interesting Facts
Tagliata is an Italian term for "sliced steak".
This dish is traditionally served with arugula, Parmesan cheese, and a lemon wedge.
The balsamic vinegar adds a nice touch of sweetness to balance out the savory flavors of the beef and garlic.
