Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup hazelnuts, finely ground
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the ground hazelnuts, sugar, cinnamon and salt. Mix together until well blended.
  3. Unfold the thawed puff pastry sheet and spread the melted butter evenly over the surface. Sprinkle the hazelnut mixture over the top and spread evenly.
  4. Roll the pastry sheet into a log, starting from one end and rolling inwards until you reach the middle. Then do the same from the other end until you meet in the middle. Slice into 1/2 inch thick rounds and place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool completely before serving.
