Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons freshly grated orange zest
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the vanilla, orange zest, and orange juice and beat until combined.
- Add the flour mixture in three additions, alternating with the yogurt, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Beat just until combined.
- Spread the batter into the prepared pan and top with the pecans. Sprinkle with the brown sugar.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
