Ingredients
1 cup long-grain white rice
1 ½ cups water
2 tablespoons butter
Salt, to taste
Directions
In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the rice, water and butter. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
Reduce the heat to low and cover the pan with a lid. Simmer for 15 minutes.
Remove the pan from the heat and let it stand, covered, for 5 minutes.
Uncover the pan and fluff the rice with a fork. Taste and add salt, if desired.
Serve the rice warm.
