Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
- 2 cups of granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (12-ounce) package semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 cups chopped pecans
Directions
- In a large saucepan, combine the butter, sugar, evaporated milk, and vanilla, and bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Stirring constantly, boil for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add the chocolate chips and pecans, stirring until the chips are melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 8x8 inch baking pan.
- Let cool for 1 hour before cutting into squares.
