Ingredients

  • 1 cup grits
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Directions

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a medium saucepan over high heat.
  2. Add the grits and salt, and reduce the heat to low.
  3. Simmer the grits for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add the butter and stir until it is melted and incorporated into the grits.
  5. Stir in the cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese until they are melted and combined.
