Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  5. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the milk, beating just until incorporated.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
