Ingredients

  • 1 cup long grain white rice
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups water

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the rice and turmeric and stir to coat.
  3. Add the salt and water and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes.
  6. Fluff with a fork and serve.
