Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 jalapeno pepper, diced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
Directions
- Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Stir in the jalapeno and bell pepper and cook for 2 minutes.
- Stir in the chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
- Add the diced tomatoes and tomato sauce and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
