Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1/2 cup of finely chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground turmeric
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of dry mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon of paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup of beef broth
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup of shredded Swiss cheese
- 1/4 cup of sour cream
Directions
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the onion and sauté until it is translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the cumin, turmeric, nutmeg, garlic powder, dry mustard, paprika, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Sauté for 1 minute.
- Add the beef broth and stir to combine. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add the cheddar cheese and Swiss cheese and stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is thick and creamy.
- Stir in the sour cream and remove from heat.
- Serve over hot dogs.
