Ingredients

  • 1 pound of penne pasta
  • 1/2 pound of mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 pound of shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 2 cups of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the mushrooms and cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Add the shrimp and cook until just pink, about 3-4 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Stir in the cream and bring to a simmer. Add the Parmesan cheese and stir until melted. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
