Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1 cup uncooked macaroni
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt butter in the microwave.
  2. Add onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until no longer pink, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper and stir to combine.
  5. Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and tomato paste.
  6. Add macaroni and stir to combine.
  7. Cover and microwave for 10 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking time.
  8. Uncover and stir. Sprinkle with cheese and microwave for an additional 2 minutes, until cheese is melted and macaroni is cooked through.
  9. Serve hot.
