Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons ground cardamom
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Stir in the cardamom.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
  5. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased baking sheets.
  6. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on wire racks.
