Ingredients
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup cold butter, cut into cubes
7-8 tablespoons cold water
Directions
In a large bowl, mix together the flour and salt.
Add the butter cubes and work into the flour with a pastry cutter or your fingers until it resembles coarse meal.
Slowly add the cold water, stirring with a fork, until a dough is formed.
Divide the dough in half and form two discs. Wrap each disc in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour.
Roll out one disc on a lightly floured surface until it is about 11-12 inches in diameter.
Fold the dough in half and place in a 9-inch pie plate. Unfold and fit to the pie plate.
Repeat with the second disc.
Fill and bake according to your recipe instructions.
