Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, washed, hulled and quartered
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup water

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the strawberries, honey, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and water. Stir until combined.
  2. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove from heat and allow to cool before serving.
