In a large skillet, cook beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until beef is brown. Drain fat.
Stir in pasta sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of sauce. Arrange a single layer of lasagna noodles over sauce. Spread with a third of the ricotta cheese and a third of the mozzarella cheese. Spoon a third of the meat sauce over cheeses.
Repeat layers twice, ending with a layer of noodles, sauce, and mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over top.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until cheeses are melted and bubbly.
