Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup red wine
1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 pound spaghetti
Directions
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 5 minutes. Drain fat.
Add the onion and garlic and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the wine and cook for 1 minute.
Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente.
Drain and return to pot.
Add the sauce and stir to combine.
Serve hot.
