Ingredients
- 2 pounds fresh mussels, cleaned and debearded
- 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh chopped parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Directions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the mussels to the skillet and cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Cover the skillet and cook for 5 minutes, or until the mussels have opened.
- Stir in the parsley, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute more.
- Serve the mussels in the skillet with the cooking liquid and enjoy!
