2 pounds fresh mussels, cleaned and debearded
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1/4 cup white wine
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup fresh chopped parsley
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Directions
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add the mussels to the skillet and cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Cover the skillet and cook for 5 minutes, or until the mussels have opened.
Stir in the parsley, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute more.
Serve the mussels in the skillet with the cooking liquid and enjoy!
