Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) butter
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) white sugar
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) honey
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) salt
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) finely chopped almonds
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) finely chopped hazelnuts
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) finely chopped walnuts
- 1 (200 g) package of milk chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking sheet.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sugar and honey and stir until combined. Remove from heat and stir in the flour, salt, and nuts.
- Drop the dough by the teaspoonful onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes, or until lightly golden. Cool completely.
- Melt the chocolate chips in a double boiler over low heat. Dip the cooled Florentines in the melted chocolate and place on waxed paper to set.
