Ingredients

  • 1 lb white fish fillets, such as cod, halibut, or mahi-mahi
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup sliced red onion
  • 1/2 cup shredded red cabbage
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 8 warm flour or corn tortillas

Directions

  1. Cut fish into 2-inch chunks.
  2. In a small bowl, combine cumin, chili powder, salt and pepper. Sprinkle over fish and toss to coat.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add fish to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine onion, cabbage, cilantro and lime juice. Toss to combine.
  5. To assemble tacos, place a few pieces of fish in each tortilla, top with slaw and serve.
