Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon of dried thyme
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 pounds of salmon fillets

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the brown sugar, chili powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, sea salt, black pepper, onion powder, ground ginger, oregano, and thyme.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the honey, olive oil, lime juice, and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Coat the salmon fillets with the spice mixture and place in a large baking dish.
  4. Pour the honey mixture over the salmon fillets and let marinate for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat a smoker to 225 degrees F.
  6. Place the salmon fillets in the smoker and smoke for 1 hour.
  7. Increase the temperature to 275 degrees F and continue to smoke for 1 more hour.
  8. Remove the salmon fillets from the smoker and serve.
